"Myopia control is the responsibility of every optometrist. It is important for optometrists to keep abreast with new developments in myopia control and be informed about different options available for patients. Orthokeratology has been shown to be effective in slowing axial elongation. Safe orthokeratology practice requires the highest professional standard of care and it is essential that optometrists and practices are adequately equipped before offering this treatment."
